Plums and Nectarines (and Okra) are Killing It

Yum. It's plum season. You can reach up and grab one from a tree (such a nice thing about San Francisco, its municipal sidewalk plum trees), or hit the Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market like I did this morning, or both.

(But the tree...it's free.)

p.s. Saw some good okra out there. This gal knows how to cook it, looks like. That's right, no breading, just cut-up okra and a lightly oiled, super-hot skillet. Although...I salt and pepper my okra before they hit the pan.

  1. One of my favorite Persian dishes is made with okra. I always picked the okras out then ate the rest of the stew. I can't wait to try your version.
