Why note a Portland feature on an SF food blog?
Well, half my friends have moved there in the last year, but mainly, I like the show idea. Found it on a free Rhapsody channel -- another episode features electronic/baile funk/dance rockers CSS (who'll be at the Treasure Island Festival in SF on 9/20) giving a tour of Japanese markets and graffiti art in their hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil:

Update: Found a new episode today (8.21.08) on the Rhapsody blog. L-Word star Leisha Hailey and Mellowdrone's Camila Grey talk about their new band, Uh Huh Her, and give their own little tour of Los Angeles, with a stop at the 101 Coffee Shop (a.k.a. the Swingers diner).

p.s. Julia Child was a spy?!! Fish squeezing and shark repellent R + D? Mega fabulous.
