The Obama 100: An Exclusive Invite!

This party is one for the books!

I'm thrilled to announce that I'm co-hosting The Obama 100, a fabulous, unique event next Thursday at the McSweeney's offices in San Francisco, with an amazing roster of local food and beverage donors (see below!). It's close to selling out, but you can donate any time to the campaign here. Let's turn this country around!

The Obama 100: 100 attendees, $100 each. Enjoy rad donations from local restaurants, booze, a live Brazilian/electronic/calypso/house band Lemonade, groovy tunes from DJ A.V., a portrait photobooth by art photographer Winni Wintermeyer, funny bits from seminal Killing My Lobster alumni, literary luminaries and more, and raise $10,000 for the Obama presidential campaign in one fell swoop!

Confirmed food & bev donors so far:

Piccino (the cute Italian spot in Dogpatch)
Zare at Fly Trap (new owner, Hoss Zare, at classic SF resto...big buzz!)
Papalote Mexican Grill (best salsa in town)
Sonoma Direct (grass-fed Sonoma lamb from the new co-editor of Meatpaper Magazine, Slow Food Nation organizer Marissa Guggiana, and cooked into meatballs by Meatpaper colleague Chris Ying!)
Tartine Bakery (sweets for the sweet!)
The Fatted Calf (best roast pork sandwich of my life!!)
Serpentine (same owner as The Slow Club, part of the Dogpatch renaissance)Front Porch (Caribbean down home/Barbadan local/sustainable!)

Lolo (fab nuevo Latino/Turkish spot on 22nd)
Progressive Grounds Cafe (character on Cortland!)
Popchips (crispy!)
Frias Family Vineyards (Napa Valley label, Spring Mountain fruit. Top notch.)
The Makeout Room/Latin American Club/Sugarlump Lounge (One of the Mission's favorite empires!)

Martine's Wines (gorgeous old vines Garnacha from Spain and Novellum French Chardonnay!)
Bar Tartine (Garnacha! A rustic red with teeth. Love it.)
Bi-Rite Market (Wine magic)
Sake2Me (Sake coolers. Yum!)
Magnolia Gastropub and Brewery (handmade brown ale? yes please.)
Goodby, Silverstein & Partners (keeping it 100% compostable!)

Host committee: Angela Petrella, Tracie Broom, Heidi Meredith, Mara Sohn, Michelle Quint, Jessica Feeney, Megara Doorly, Jason Schwartz, Carlo Espinas. It will be awesome and we hope to see you there!

If you have already donated the max amount to the campaign (yay you!), let us know. There are definitely other ways to help.
